1. What the Service provides

Allbus HK provides route, stop, station, vehicle-position estimate, and arrival-time information for public transport in Hong Kong. The Service is an independent information tool and is not an official transport operator or government service.

2. Informational use only

Transport data may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, or inaccurate. Estimated arrival times and vehicle positions are estimates, not guarantees. Confirm important journeys with the relevant operator and allow extra time. Do not rely on the Service for emergencies, safety-critical decisions, or any situation where delay could cause loss or harm.

3. Acceptable use

You may use the Service for lawful, personal, and ordinary travel-planning purposes. You must not:

• interfere with, overload, probe, or attempt to bypass the security of the Service;
• use automated access in a way that disrupts the Service or its upstream data providers;
• misrepresent the Service or its data as official or guaranteed; or
• use the Service in violation of applicable law or another person’s rights.

4. Third-party data and services

The Service depends on transport data and infrastructure supplied by third parties. Their availability, accuracy, terms, and privacy practices are outside our control. Operator names, logos, and other marks belong to their respective owners. References to them do not imply endorsement or affiliation.

5. Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms by publishing a revised version on this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

6. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Allbus HK and its contributors will not be liable for loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service or its information. Nothing in these Terms excludes a right or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

1. Location

If you choose “Nearby,” your browser or device asks for permission to provide your current location. The coordinates are held temporarily in your browser and used there to calculate the distance to nearby stops or stations. Allbus HK does not send your precise coordinates to its servers or analytics tools, and does not store them after the page session. Your browser, operating system, or location provider may process location data under its own privacy terms.

2. Data stored on your device

The Service uses browser local or session storage for convenience features such as favourites, recently viewed routes and stops, language preference, the selected home tab, and safe app-version reloading. This data stays in your browser unless you use a feature that makes a normal request for updated transport information. You can remove it by clearing site data in your browser.

3. Analytics

We use Google Tag Manager to operate analytics, including Google Analytics 4. Analytics may process page views, route search terms, selected route or stop identifiers, language changes, refresh and load outcomes, approximate region, device and browser information, and cookie or similar identifiers. We do not intentionally send precise location, names, email addresses, phone numbers, account details, or other contact information to analytics.

Google may process this data under its own terms and privacy policy. You can restrict cookies or similar storage through your browser, although doing so may affect measurement or parts of the Service. Learn more in Google’s Privacy Policy.

4. Requests, logs, and language defaults

Like most websites, the Service and its hosting or content-delivery providers may process technical request data such as IP address, requested URL, request time, user agent, and security or error logs. A coarse country code supplied by hosting infrastructure may be used to choose an initial language; it is not used to determine your precise location. Route searches and requests for transport information are sent to the Service so that it can return results.

5. Sharing, transfers, and retention

We do not sell personal information. Data may be processed by service providers that host, secure, deliver, or measure the Service, or disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users, or defend the Service. Those providers may process data in other jurisdictions. Browser-stored data remains until you clear it; analytics and operational logs may be retained according to the applicable service settings and provider terms.

6. Your choices

• Do not grant, or revoke, browser location permission if you do not want to use Nearby.
• Clear Allbus HK site data to remove local favourites, recent items, and preferences.
• Use browser privacy controls to restrict cookies or analytics requests.

7. Children and security

The Service is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children through accounts or forms. We use reasonable measures to protect the Service, but no website or transmission method is completely secure.

8. Changes

We may update this Privacy Notice as the Service changes. The effective date above shows the latest revision.
